The CD-ROM, Floppy drive, and other
removable devices utilize the
Supermount utility. Supermount
manages removable media such as floppy
disks, CD-ROMs and Zips similar to the
way other operating systems do -- it
allows you to change disks without
using the traditional Unix commands
"mount" and "unmount". Supermount
detects media changes
automatically.
And, as in other graphical
environments, KDE provides a
Trash bin where you can place
files to be deleted. Right-click on the
Trash bin and select "Empty Trash Bin"
to permanently remove any enclosed
files or folders.
