The next option is "Use existing partitions" -- this is for if Linux partitions already exist on a drive, such as from a previous Linux installation or as a result of using third-party partitioning software such as Partition Magic.

So if partitions have already been created, you can select "Use existing partitions" to assign Linux mount points as seen on the next page.
