Start KDE as normal user, check if KPowersave is running (check for the 
KPowersave icon in the taskbar, or "ps aux | grep KPowersave").

Start on a console: 'lshal -m'.

Press the power button/key.

Expected Results:
============================
KPowersave shut down your desktop session and the whole machine

If the machine don't react to the key/button:
- check the output of 'lshal -m' for "ButtonPressed = power"
- if there is no such output KPowersave don't support the power button
