Test Case: React on AC add/remove events Categories: Desktop, KDE, AC Requirements: KDE Installation, a Laptop (and an AC adaptor) Depends On: Test Case Action: ============================ Start KDE as normal user, check if KPowersave is running (check for the KPowersave icon in the taskbar, or "ps aux | grep KPowersave"). Start on a console: 'lshal -m'. Click on the KPowersave icon in the task bar with the left mouse button. If you add the AC plug the otherwise should happen. 2) If you remove the AC plug the dialog should change some parts: 2.1) Miscellaneous section: - the 'Current scheme' should change from Performance to Powersave - the icon in this section (in the top left corner) should change from a plug to a battery icon 2.2) Battery state section: - the icon in this section (in the top left corner) should change to the same as the applet icon - the 'AC Adapter' LED (on the bottom of the section) should switch from green (on) to dark green (off) and the text right of the LED should change from 'plugged in' to 'unplugged' - (after a while or immediately) a new text should be shown above the AC LED: 'Power Consumtion' and a text with the current consumtion. 3.) If you (re)add the AC Plug the dialog should change this: 3.1) The current scheme should switch back to Performance (incl. the icon), the icon should switch back to an icon with a plug, the AC Adapter LED should get green again, the 'Power consumption' info get may removed (after a while, depends on battery state)
