Test Case: Autosuspend Categories: Desktop, KDE, Requirements: KDE Installation, a machine which support ACPI S3/S4 (suspend to ram/disk) Depends On: Test Case 01 or 02 Action: ============================ Be sure that the machine support 'Suspend to Disk' or 'Suspend to RAM' (see Test Case #01 or #02). Configure KPowersave: - click on the applet icon with right mouse button, select 'Configure KPowersave ...' - select the Powersave scheme in the 'Scheme Settings' tab - select the 'Autosuspend' page in the toolbox - select/enable the 'Enable autosuspend' checkbox - select a suspend method (e.g. Suspend to Disk) and a time (e.g. 5 min.) - apply/confirm all dialogs which may get opened - close the config dialog via the 'OK' button Select now the 'Powersave' scheme via the applet menu ('Set Active Scheme' --> 'Powersave') Now wait the selected time and don't touch mouse, keyboard or touchpad within this time. Expected Results: ============================ fter the defined time (+/- max. ~30 seconds) a Dialog get displayed (with a 30 sec countdown that allows the user to chancel the suspend) and without any user interaction should the machine 'Suspend to Disk'.
