Test Case: Autodimm brightness blacklists Categories: Desktop, KDE, Brightness Requirements: KDE Installation, a machine with a supported brightness interface Depends On: Test Case #09, #14 Action: ============================ Start KDE as normal user, check if KPowersave is running (check for the KPowersave icon in the taskbar, or "ps aux | grep KPowersave"). Be sure that Test Cases #09 and #14 fulfilled on your machine. Configure KPowersave by follow instructions in test case ##14 (don't close the dialog at the end) and additionally do this: - select/enable the 'Enable scheme-specific blacklis' checkbox - click on the 'Edit Blacklist...' button - don't import a blacklist in the following dialog - add e.g. 'firefox' to the blacklist (input 'firefox' into the field on the left bottom side of the dialog, click on the 'Add' button, close the dialog with okay) - close the config dialog via the 'OK' button Case 1: Firefox is not running (don't start/close firefox for this case) Case 2: Firefox is running (start firefox for this case) Select now the 'Performance' scheme via the applet menu ('Set Active Scheme' --> 'Performance') Now wait the selected time and don't touch mouse, keyboard or touchpad within this time. Expected Results: ============================ Case 1: machine should do autodimm the display brightness after the defined time (as in Test Case #618928) Case 2: as long as one of the programmes in the blacklist (in this example: firefox) is running the machine should not autosuspend after the defined time. If all of the progammes get exited/closed the machine should suspend after (almost) the defined time.
