Test Case: Default scheme handling Categories: Desktop, KDE Requirements: KDE Installation, a laptop with battery Depends On: Test Case #08 Action: ============================ Start KDE as normal user, check if KPowersave is running (check for the KPowersave icon in the taskbar, or "ps aux | grep KPowersave"). Be sure that Test Case #618884 fulfilled on your machine. Case 1: don't change anything in the config dialog Case 2: configure different default schemes: - open the KPowersave config dialog (via the applet icon -> 'Configure KPowersave ...') - select the 'General Settings' tab - select the 'Default Schemes' page of the toolbox in this tab - Change the default schemes for AC (e.g. from 'Performance' to 'Powersave') and Battery (e.g. from 'Powersave' to 'Presentation') - close the dialog with 'OK' Click on the KPowersave icon in the task bar with the left mouse button to start the 'KPowersave Information Dialog'. Remove/add the AC plug from the machine and observe the 'Miscellaneous' section of the information dialog of KPowersave, especially the 'Current scheme'. Expected Results: ============================ Case 1: - if you remove AC plug: the scheme change from 'Performance' to 'Powersave' in the info dialog ('Current scheme'), if you click on the applet icon and check out 'Set Active Scheme' it should also be changed - if you readd the AC plug: the scheme change from 'Powersave' to 'Performance' Case 2: The schemes should change to the defaults you set in the config dialog if you remove/add the AC plug.
